Job Title: CNC Setter Operator
Hours: Fixed Days or Nights, full-time (with overtime available)
Shift Patterns:
Days: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:00pm, Friday 7:30am–3:30pm
Nights: Monday–Thursday 6:00pm–6:00am (finishing Friday morning)

Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC lathes using 2 and 3 axis Fanuc controls
Working on a range of machines: conventional CNCs, twin spindle/twin turret, Doosans, Biglias, and sliding head machines
Completing full machine set-ups on various types and sizes of machines
Working with exotic materials and editing programmes where required
Checking work to ensure all parts meet required standards and tolerances
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and using measuring equipment accurately
Collaborating with engineers, programmers, and inspectors to ensure high quality
Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Setter Operator (including tight tolerance work)
Confident working on Fanuc-controlled lathes
Ability to set and operate sliding heads, Doosans, and Biglias (advantageous)
Programming experience is desirable and will be rewarded
Proficient in using measurement tools: verniers, micrometres, thread micrometres, calliper gauges, ring gauges
Able to work from engineering drawings and develop effective turning strategies
